Symposium to be Held in Conjunction With Art Exhibit

"Variety, Archaeology and Ornament: Architectural Prints from Column to Cornice," a symposium being held in conjunction with an exhibit at U.Va.'s Art Museum, will begin tomorrow. The exhibit is co-curated by U.Va. architecture professor Cammy Brothers.

Batten School Launches Five Dual-Degree Programs

U.Va.'s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy has recently partnered with five other schools at U.Va. to create five dual-degree programs that will allow students to obtain a graduate degree from the partner school and a master's from Batten in fewer years.

Program Focuses on Digital Humanities Skills

Six U.Va. graduate students with scholarly interests ranging from Victorian poetry to Spanish military architecture are part of the Praxis Program, a pilot initiative in the U.Va. Library's Scholars' Lab designed to provide technical training and experience to a small group of interdisciplinary graduate students interested in digital humanities projects.

Support Will Speed Online Publication of Papers

The unpublished papers of several Founding Fathers will be made available online through a three-year, $2.5 million agreement between the University of Virginia, through the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, and the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.
